LISLE, IL - To meet the evolving needs of data centers, Molex, a leading global manufacturer of electronic solutions, is proud to continue its active participation in the promotion and advancement of open platforms as a Sapphire Sponsor at the first ever virtual Open Compute Summit, taking place May 12-15, 2020.
Telecommunication and data center companies are experiencing increasing bandwidth requirements and, therefore, need high-density interconnects. To meet these needs, Molex works with customers and provides innovative connectivity solutions. Molex’s full portfolio includes scalable data center solutions with speed, signal integrity, EMI containment and thermal efficiencies. Collaborating with industry-leading technology companies, Molex also helps customers meet and exceed 112 Gbps speed requirements and plan for next-generation demands.
As open source data becomes increasingly important, Molex is developing Open19 compliant products. Participants of the Open19 Project, which aims to establish a new open standard for data center servers, Molex will showcase new examples of OCP’s Open standards. These products allow customers to enable a diverse set of compute accelerators within the data center.
“By combining our core technologies with collaborations from industry leading tech companies, we are proud to offer our customers a portfolio of innovative copper, optical and power solutions like NearStack On-the-Substrate Interconnect System as well further collaboration with Open platforms,” said Ryan Wade, director of data center sales, at Molex.
Molex will showcase product solutions including:
- Open19 Impel Backplane Connector System for Packet19 Chassis
- Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable Double Density (QSFP-DD) System
- BiPass I/O and Backplane Cable Assemblies
- NearStack On-the-Substrates Interconnect System at 112 Gbps
The virtual Open Compute Summit can be accessed on a laptop, desktop computer or mobile device. Molex experts will be virtually available to connect with media contacts and attendees. Registration is open to everyone and free for all attendees.
