What do color coding and mechanical keying mean?
Mega-Fit Connectors are visually color-coded and mechanically keyed to create a design on the molded housing that helps prevent mis-mating. This means that you cannot mix colors. Natural mates to natural and black mates to black.
What is the benefit of using the double-crimp feature?
Using two similar wire gauges in one terminal creates space efficiency, optimal current paths and enhanced robustness and reliability.
Does Molex have PCB potting capability?
No, Molex can provide the specifications for potting the Fit Families, but the customer will need to pot the PCB or use a third-party. Molex provides the potting-capable series, potting resin recommendations and maximum potting height for uninterrupted connectivity.
