Designed to help position terminals and detect incomplete insertion, eliminating terminal back-outs and the need for quality checks for contact assurance.

Glow Wire Capable

Glow wire capable PCB headers were designed to meet required EU regulations (IEC60335-1) for the home appliance market. This test mandates that connectors carrying a current of 0.20A or higher must pass the glow wire test. A connector passes the test if, during 30 seconds of applying a glowing wire, there is no ignition or any flames self-extinguish within 2 seconds.

Potting Capability

Provides added resistance to shock and vibration and prevents moisture, liquid or corrosive agents from penetrating the PCB board. In addition, Micro-One Connectors provide a potting height of up to 7.00mm.

Overview

Industrial and consumer applications can be subject to water ingress, shock or vibration issues and require potting for their PCBs. Micro-One headers feature a potting height of up to 7.00mm to cover the PC board.

Glow wire capable solutions are required to meet EU regulations (IEC60335-1) for the home appliance market. Micro-One headers have glow wire capable options.

Facilitating and maintaining secure electrical contacts and mating retention for small-size connectors, 2.00mm-pitch low-profile Micro-One Connectors feature an integrated ISL to prevent terminal back-outs and an independent TPA retainer to help position terminals.
