Overview
Customers often have a difficult time finding a readily available, yet configurable, connector that meets specific power and signal requirements. Additionally, space and budget constraints can prevent customers from buying a connector that provides more power/signal that they need. The EXTreme Ten60 Power Connectors offer standard modular components to meet power needs while taking up minimal space.
High-current power customers need to meet their specific power requirements as closely as possible without paying for excess contacts or tooling. EXTreme Ten60 Power Connectors provide design flexibility in power connector assemblies across a wide range of power and signal requirements, orientations, and applications without tooling charges.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I design my own EXTreme Ten60 Connectors configuration?
Check out the EXTreme Ten60 Connectors configurator with this link
How long does it typically take to receive 3D models, drawings and samples for my application’s configuration?
Molex is working to support your rapid prototyping design requirements. The configurator has timing requirements that you can provide to us. Our typical time frame is one business day for models, one business day for drawings and around two weeks for prototype, depending on component availability.
What is the standard lead time for custom configurations?
Typical production lead times range from our standard eight weeks to up to 12 weeks, depending on material availability.
When should I select a split-power blade versus a standard blade?
EXTreme Ten60 Connectors’ standard blades offer a 95.0A potential with a 5.50 and 7.50mm pitch. The split power allows for a 3.50mm pitch with 30.0A per side or 60.0A with a 6.00mm pitch. The split-power blade offers the ability to run more +/- current in a tighter space.
What is the shelf life for EXTreme Ten60 Connectors?
The solder-tail connectors and crimp terminals have an 18-month shelf life.
The connectors with press-fit tails are up to 60 months.
What certifications these connectors offer?
EXTreme Ten60 Connectors have been certified to CSA std. C22.2 No 182.3-M1987 and UL 1977 (UL File Number E29179).
What amperages can I run through the signal pins?
EXTreme Ten60 Connector signal pins are rated for 2.5A for the 2.54mm-pitch signals and 4.5A for the high-density signal (HDS) terminals.
How many mating cycles can these connectors handle?
EXTreme Ten60 Connectors are rated for 200 mate/unmate cycles. Molex does not offer a test-to-fail cycle spec for EXTreme Ten60 Connectors, and some applications have used these connectors beyond the cycle rating with success.
What is the mated depth for EXTreme Ten60 Connectors?
When the connectors are used in a right angle-to-right angle configuration, the mated depth is 40.47mm. When connectors are used in a right angle-to-vertical configuration, the mated depth is 29.63mm.
Are all EXTreme Ten60 Connectors rated for pin-in-paste (PIP)?
Standard EXTreme Ten60 Connectors are not rated for the pin-in-paste (PIP) process due to the standard drawing footprint (via hole dimensions). Please contact us, as we can offer options for proper standoff and footprint (via hole dimensions) to meet your PIP requirements using the same configurations.
What blade length options are offered?
Can they be used for first-mate-last-break (FMLB) and in-rush connections?
EXTreme Ten60 Connectors offers plug blade lengths for 8.00, 10.00 and 12.00mm lengths. We don’t change the receptacle connector lengths to allow for offsets and FMLB connections.
And yes, these connectors may be used in FMLB and in-rush connections.
What signal-pin lengths options are there?
Can signal pins be used in FMLB?
EXTreme Ten60 Connector’s high-density signal terminals are available in three-plug connection length options (6.54, 7.54 and 8.54mm). These signal pins may be used in FMLB configurations. Contact us about which configuration you need for which row. The 2.54mm pitch signal terminals may also be configured for FMLB and two-length options (6.54 and 8.54mm) for each row.
Does Molex offer other guide lengths or PCB attachment options?
EXTreme Ten60 Connectors offer a 29.00 and 32.00mm guides in both side and top guide options. They also have screw-down options available upon request for better PCB retention.
What PCB tail options are offered?
EXTreme Ten60 Connectors offer three PCB tail options. We offer two PCB solder tails with 2.84mm (for .062" PCB) and 3.61mm (for .093" PCB). We also offer press-fit terminals with plug terminals of 3.28mm and receptacles of 2.83mm that work for PCB greater than 1.60mm and up with no maximum PCB thickness.
What is the gatherability/misalignment?
EXTreme Ten60 Connectors’ side guides offer 1.80mm misalignment gatherability in both X and Y dimensions. The top guides offer a 2.40mm alignment gatherability in both X and Y dimensions.
Are there other PCB retention features other than the PCB pegs?
EXTreme Ten60 Connectors have screw-down mount options. Contact us if your application requires a screw-down option.
Can these be used as an edgecard connector?
EXTreme Ten60 Connectors are designed to be mated with other EXTreme Ten60 Connectors. We do not have an edgecard option.
