Features and Benefits

Consumer OEMs need reliable connectors because an unreliable connection can result in end-product failure. With 4 points of contact at the mating interface, RAST 2.5 and RAST 5 IDT design is an extremely reliable power connector.

Regulations vary across countries and regions, with some having to meet glow wire compliance and other needing to be UL-94V0 rated. In order to sell in Europe, for instance, connectors need to be glow wire compliant, while end product connectors in the U.S. require a UL-94V0 rating. RAST 2.5, 5 and Power Connectors offer both glow wire compliant and UL-94V0-Rated versions.

Yes! The R5 connectors can be mated with RAST 5 headers for an indirect connection.

What is the main difference between RAST R5 and RAST 5 Connectors?
We created the RAST R5 series to offer customers a lower-cost alternative to our RAST 5 series. We achieve this by reducing the size of the connector but keeping the same electrical features.
