PCB headers featuring EON press-fit pins reduce electrical shorts, formation of cold spots and voids, cracked solder joint issues, and more. A variety of PCB header solutions are available for customization with EON compliant pins for high-circuit-count applications. Press-fit terminations create significant cost savings over solder-tail terminations. Product families with EON compliant pin terminations include MX150(TM) headers and the 154-circuit CMC header. As the trend for using compliant-pin technology increases in the automotive and commercial-vehicle markets, the use of press-fit pins with other header products is anticipated.
